Disposition definitions for performance complaints are as follows:
- Unfounded:
- The allegation is false or not factual.
- Exonerated:
- the incident occurred, but was lawful and proper.
- Not Sustained:
- Insufficient evidence exists to either prove or disprove the allegation.
- Sustained:
- The allegation is supported by sufficient evidence to justify a reasonable conclusion of guilt.
- Policy Failure:
- The investigation revealed that the alleged acts did occur; however, the officer was acting in accordance with established departmental policy.
- In Compliance:
- The investigation revealed that the policies and procedures of the Department were followed (to be used with Administrative Inquiries only)
