The City of Aurora’s 2012 Memorial Day ceremony and parade held May 28 now can be seen on Aurora Community Television (ACTV).

The events are being shown on ACTV at noon and 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout June. ACTV is available to Aurora Comcast cable subscribers on Ch. 10 and AT&T U-Verse customers on Ch. 99.

The pre-parade ceremony titled “Expressions of Remembrance” honored the service men and women who gave their lives for our country.  The East Aurora High School Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps honor guard presented the colors and local Boy Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance.  The Aurora Historical Society Chorus and the Bradley Green Family Band also performed at the ceremony.

Local military groups, community organizations and four marching bands, including Waubonsie Valley, East Aurora, West Aurora high schools and Waldo Middle School, marched in the parade in downtown Aurora.
