Ward One—Alderman Abby Schuler
Abby Schuler, born January 19, 1965 has lived in Ward 1 since the age of five. She attended O’Donnell grade school, Simmons Jr. High and graduated from East Aurora High School in 1983. Abby has a BS degree in Accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has over 16 years of accounting experience, including 5 years with KPMG Peat Marwick, 9 years with a research and development company, M-C Power, several years of consulting experience, and currently she and her husband are owners of a construction company, Schuler Builders.
Abby has been married for 19 years to her husband Adam, who was born and raised in Ward 1. They have 2 children, Alex 12 and Morgan 10 They are members of St. Joseph’s Parish where her children attend school.
Alderman Schuler currently serves on the Planning & Development Committee and serves as an alternate for the Finance Committee.
